Plot Summary
In Alien: Romulus, the director Fede Alvarez returns the Alien franchise back to its roots with claustrophobic sci-fi horror that fans of the originals crave. This is in contrast to Ridley Scott’s more philosophical approach in Prometheus and Alien: Covenant, which keeps the story simple and direct and focuses on a group of workers in a hostile environment. The protagonist Rain Carradine (Cailee Spaeny) finds herself thrown into an unexpected fight for survival when her plan to leave a dreary mining planet goes wrong.
